Oracle Racing Team - Winner of 33rd America's Cup - Official Team Website: Back in the USA

28.02.11 0650 PST was the time the America's Cup winning trimaran USA 17 touched American soil again. At least that's when the mooring lines secured the M.V Star Isjford alongside San Francisco's Pier 80 with USA 17 aboard.

Three helicopters hovered overhead capturing the historic moment of the game-changing trimaran's homecoming. The sun rose over the Bay and ORACLE Racing's Pier 80 base right on cue.

Earlier, M.V. Star Isjford passed under the Golden Gate Bridge at approximately 0530. Given that USA 17 is the fastest ever yacht in the 160 year history of the America's Cup, it is fitting that she entered her home town for the first time a little ahead of schedule.

USA 17 left American soil in December 2009, shipped from San Diego, CA, to Valencia, Spain, ahead of her 2:0 victory in the 33rd America's Cup on February 14, 2010.

If windspeeds remain low, the 115ft trimaran and 223ft wingsail will be unloaded today.

USA17 back home! Looking forward to seeing her sail in the bay.
